Witness observed a silver disc-shaped object hanging motionless above a mesa for approximately five minutes. It rocked slightly and reflected sunlight. It then descended out of view. Witness notes wind conditions were strong that day.

A silver object that rocks in strong wind, holds position and then descends is a weather balloon, which the local airport released at 17:30. The Bureau notes that this is what the object was in 1947 as well, and that no one has ever been persuaded by it. Recommended: Director’s review.
